like i’m so pissed about this. it’s so hypocritical!! i see a lot of the “there’s no wrong way to be transgender” type posts, which are obviously right, but they legit seem to only be directed at afab people and nonbinary people. once a trans woman doesn’t do what you deem “enough” to be considered trans in your eyes (whether it’s not transitioning, changing their name, or using different pronouns - which, btw i’ve seen people have positivity posts about these that seem geared to the aforementioned groups) you fucking shit all over her and decide that you’re the authority on her gender??? like what the fuck.

it’s harder for trans women in this world. honestly. it fucking is. because afab people??? we’re free to experiment!!! we can wear “men’s” clothes and have short hair and literally no one gives a shit. the second an amab person wears more feminine stuff or tries makeup they’re automatically at a higher risk of being assaulted. so how do amab people ever manage to safely explore their gender like???? not to mention a trans woman who doesn’t “pass” is at higher risk. not changing their name/pronouns or transitioning can obviously be a safety precaution. it’s just as valid as the trans women who just don’t want to do these things.

trans women have a hard enough fucking time existing as it is without completely unknowledgeable assholes trying to police their fucking identity.
